In the early part of the year, we're trying to develop a pitching staff. There was really never even a second thought (leaving him in). It was in the plans that he would throw three innings and move on from there. He threw so few pitches, we decided to give him one more. We've got to get some innings to some other kids because we really think we're going to need everybody.

They've got good hitters, good pitching and they play good defense. I think their program is definitely heading in the right direction.

That lefty they've got had a really good day out there. He was good last year, and he picked up right where he left off.

It's a daily thought, but you just have so much invested.

A lot of people will forget that because it happened in the first inning, but that was a big strikeout and got us out of what could have been a big inning for American Fork.

We certainly had to work a little harder for our runs today than we have so far this year.

We've got to get at least one win from everybody and to win on our home field, it was just a big win for us.

We were able to string a few hits together and we were able to keep pressure on them. It was good to get started in that first inning and keep hitting.

Unfortunately with this stuff, it's not just elbow grease.

I thought that all four of our pitchers played very well today. None of them have much experience, but they really stepped up for us today.
